Due to an increase in institutional emergencies on primary and high school campuses, the City Council of Aspach and its local schools requested a wayfinding system that would help save precious response time in emergency situations. The navigation and signage system was employed throughout the entire school, and links directly with the local police and emergency services response teams.
The main brief: to provide children with a simple way of explaining where they are, and for local emergency services to be able to navigate the grounds quickly to respond.
Run Creative researched and created a navigation system that created flexibility for complex room layouts and numbering, while remaining simple enough for every primary school child to understand.

In addition to the Wayfinding system, we created the friendly character NAVI to teach children about the new signs around their school, what they mean, and how they can use them. Booklets and flyers were created where NAVI helps them have fun with the new signs, while the parents were given more targeted information on how the system works in more extreme emergency situations.
